Camp Pendleton Base Event to benefit the EOD Warrior Foundation

The Ferrari Club of America - Southwest Region is proud to partner with the Southern California Viper Club for a private tour and BBQ lunch with the US Marines 1st EOD Company (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) behind the gates at their compound at Camp Pendleton in San Diego County.

This is a unique opportunity to show our support and appreciation to the men and women of 1st EOD Company and to learn about what they do. We will have a behind the scenes tour of their “library” of explosives and will get up close to learn how these brave warriors locate, identify and disarm all types of ordnance from roadside bombs and IEDs, to chemical weapons and nuclear devices.

The June 9th portion includes a drive through the Base and a BBQ lunch with the Marines and their Families with a mini-car show display area for our cars.

The Marines have made possible an optional overnight stay at the Pacific Views Lodge, located "on Base" near the main gate and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. From there we have made arrangements for a buffet dinner at the Jolly Roger restaurant on the water at Oceanside Harbor.

This rare opportunity benefits the EOD Warrior Foundation (EODWF). This very worthy Foundation serves the EOD community by providing financial assistance and support to active-duty and veteran wounded, injured or ill EOD warriors as well as families of wounded and fallen EOD warriors of all branches of Service.

Cost for the June 9th tour and lunch is $160 per car. This price includes both the cost of the lunch and a tax deductible $125 donation to the EOD Warrior Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (option to donate more).

Cost for the “On Base” hotel runs $110 for a Deluxe room (15 available) and $150 for a Suite (5 available). The Jolly Roger Buffet Dinner Friday night is $50 per person (1/2 price for kids under 12).

This is a family friendly event and children (and grandchildren) are welcome. We invite you to register early for this very special event as we are strictly limited to 25 Ferraris (or other exotics). Registration Deadline May 1st or when the event is filled.

All persons entering the base must have a Base Pass. Applications for a Base Pass will go out to all those who have registered.
