YANKS AIR MUSEUM - WWI, BI PLANES, WWII, KOREAN, MODERN, FIGHTER JETS
Join fellow FCA-SW members for a scenic drive from the oldest existing McDonald’s restaurant in Downey to Yanks Air Museum at the Chino Airport where we will enjoy a docent led tour.
We will meet under the famous 60 foot tall “Speede” sign that has been a local landmark since 1953. Yanks Air Museum began in 1973 with one plane and now has more than 200 aircraft in their collection. Many of their aircraft are the sole remaining example of their kind and almost all are perfectly restored and in flying condition. We will also see Yanks' restoration hangar where you will see the magic of airplane restoration up close and personal. Yanks has the ”world’s largest collection of historic all-American aircraft” and “was created to share aviation history with everyone.” The collection covers early biplanes to modern jets.
But that’s not all folks! After touring the museum we will enjoy lunch at the famous Flo’s Airport Café, a Chino Airport tradition for over 50 years.
ONLY $50. Per Person - Includes Museum Admission and Lunch
