Prancing Horses & Police Horses IV

This is our 4th year of being invited to enjoy a unique time with LAPD’s Mounted Unit for an exclusive tour of their facility, riding demonstration, police dog tricks & BBQ Dinner.

Proceeds of the event benefit the LAPD Foundation supporting the Metropolitan Mounted Platoon. Thanks to our generous members, over $80,000 was raised at the previous events and the unit was able to purchase the newest 4-legged member of their team which was aptly named “Enzo”.

Our tour begins at 2:00 pm at the LAPD K-9 facility near Dodger Stadium, where we will learn about the K-9 training and see the 4-legged officers put through their paces.

We will then begin our escorted drive through the Police Academy grounds and up into the hills of Griffith Park for some great views of the Los Angeles skyline and a photo opportunity. Following that, we head to the “horse barn” for a tour that includes the Mounted Platoon riding demonstrations.

The Officers will prepare their famous BBQ dinner which is absolutely delicious! After dinner there will be a silent auction with many wonderful prizes including a Police Ride-Along, a day at the LAPD shooting range and a chance to enjoy a pleasant afternoon ride on one of the LAPD horses (maybe Enzo!).

FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT! Great to bring the kids and grandkids.
Definitely bring the Ferrari (unless you can't fit everyone in).

PRICING:
$100 PER ADULT ($90 DONATED TO LAPD)
$50 FOR KIDS 15 & UNDER ($40 DONATED TO LAPD)
