A Most Excellent Drive
Often overshadowed by the lure of the coast, the expansive San Gabriel Valley hosts a number of great driving routes, and Joe Napoli is here to show us the way.
Join your friends from all over the Southwest Region for what is becoming one of our most popular events:
“A Most Excellent Drive.”
Starting in the foothill city of San Dimas, this year’s A Most Excellent Drive treks nearly 70 miles of mostly mountain roads over the San Gabriel Valley. The route will traverse some of the most scenic parts of the Angeles Forest, passing through the San Dimas Experimental Forest and crossing the San Gabriel River.
Back down the hill, we’ll hitch our stallions in Diamond Bar for a catered lunch of Italian sandwiches, salad, and dessert, and plenty of parking to exhibit our Prancing Horses.
Space is limited for this event so don’t delay signing up.
Meetup location and event details, including the event route guide, will be distributed one week prior.
Check-in in San Dimas will begin at 8:00 AM, with coffee conveniently available at a nearby vendor. We’ll depart on the route at 9:00 AM sharp, following everyone’s signatures on the event waiver and a brief driver briefing.
Cost is $30 per person, including lunch and soft drinks.
